New celebrity customers
In the last month, we have added Glyndebourne Opera and the Notting Hill Carnival to our list of celebrity customers. So, in both cases, we'll be playing 'Spot the Fringe' when either are on TV this Summer.
Rowan Yarns
Rowan's Summer range is in the shop and selling well. It is headlined by a soft, naturally dyed, organic double knit cotton, called Purelife, offered in eight luscious ice-cream shades. The range has its own dedicated pattern book which is packed full of Summer beauties.

Country Living
Bedecked has made an appearance in Country Living magazine again; this time featured in their series on small rural businesses. We had a lot of fun trying to make the sheep behave for Tara Fisher, the photographer, who then went on to surprise quite a few unsuspecting shop customers, clicking away with her camera.
Colinette Yarns
Just before Christmas, we took in our first delivery of Colinette yarns. This Welshpool-based company is renowned for its stunning colours and textures, and the shop looked like a vivid jewel for a couple of days. A week later It looked like a raiding party had galloped through, leaving just the remnants behind. We have now re-stocked to include eight shades of their fabulous Giotto yarn, a beautiful and versatile lustrous cotton/viscose ribbon.
Gift Babywear
Old fashioned wool shops always used to sell babywear, so last Autumn, we thought that we would try it out too. The softest, soft teddies and bunnies arrived in the shop from Trousselier in France, followed by cheeky baby tee shirts from Name Clothing in London, dainty sleepsuits from Holly's in Denmark and soft leather bootees from Starchild. Local company 'Millie and Me' added the finishing touch with beautifully hand knitted blankets, hats and mitts. Customers have given us the thumbs up, so we are now searching for new baby gifts to add to the range.
Sock yarn
Sock yarn continues to be a great success. The jazzy colours and 'magic' patterns have appealed enormously to customers wanting to knit something fun and practical for when they go walking in the Black Mountains.
Lots of buttons
We've been buying lots of new buttons. Many are in natural materials - shell, horn and wood and they are all well-designed, look great and are in a wide variety of colours and sizes. Why not take a look.
Our shop
The Bedecked shop is in the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye on the Herefordshire/Welsh border. Hay is home to some super clothes and craft shops as well as book heaven. It is also a popular centre for Outdoor Pursuits, so it offers a good day out for everyone.
We'd love you to pay us a visit. Our address is 1 Castle Wall, Back Fold, Hay-on-Wye. We're near the main town car park and easy to find. We're open every day except Sunday and all the Bedecked range is on view, so you'll be able to see and touch everything. We look forward to seeing you soon
Shop opening hours
Our shop in Hay-on-Wye opens six days a week, Mondays to Saturdays, 10:00am to 5:00pm. We are closed Sundays.
