Care

Always do a sample test of the trimming with the intended fabric to ensure that both behave as expected.

Flowers don’t travel particularly well whatever the packaging. Therefore, when you receive your flower, briefly hold it over gentle steam and carefully mould the petals into shape. It will then look great.

Fur & suede fringing don't travel well either, so when you receive your delivery, briefly hold the trim over gentle steam and tease the pile/fronds in the right direction.

Iron on studs To apply iron on studs:

  1. Heat iron to cotton temperature 150 - 170°C. - do not use steam.
  2. Carefully peel off the white backing sheet.
  3. Lay the transparent sheet holding the studs, sticky side down, in the required position.
  4. Cover the transparent sheet with an ironing cloth - a piece of calico is ideal.
  5. Press for approx. 20 seconds.
  6. The studs should now be firmly attached to the fabric.
  7. Leave to rest for twenty minutes until cool.

Iron-on motifs Here’s how to apply your iron-on motifs.

  1. Heat iron to dry cotton temperature,150-170 °C
  2. Place motif in required position.
  3. Cover with a piece of calico or similar, to avoid damaging the fabric
  4. Press the iron onto the motif for at least 20 seconds.
  5. Leave to rest for at least 30 minutes.

NB iron-on motifs tend not to work well with certain fabrics such as elasticated or waterproof materials.
